What Treatment Is Suggested For Symptoms Of Goiter?

I have a enlargement in the base of my neck with about 2 months, I am getting an ultrasound on it this Friday. My GP thinks its a goiter,I also suffer from Haemochromatosis. In the past 2 years I am suffering from headaces, joint pains which are bad in the winter time, weight gain, and very dry skin behind my ears and on my nose and fatigue and memory loss. .My Free T4 is 15 & TSH is 2.15 still waiting on results on Anti thyroid Peroxidase Ab s. Is there a link between Haemochromatosis & goiters ??? I am Female & 44 years. Many thanks, Eileen Lyons.

only t3 t4, tsh will not help get one ultrasound neck and FNAC of the swelling . thyroid problem is common in women your age group . I don't think there is any connection with hematochromatosis
