What Treatment Is Suggested For Running Nose?

Hi I have a 15 month old an she just started getting a little hoarse today. She is eating fine an so far no fever. I know what it could be? She has had a little runny nose for about a week. Do you think it is just drainage causing this? Or do I need to let her see a Doctor?

Hello. Thank you for your question. Runny nose in a child without fever and who is otherwise well does not require any intervention. We can leave her alone and let this run it's course. However, if she develops a fever, or the symptom worsens and she is unable to do her usual daily activities, I recommend consulting your doctor.
