My son 5 yrs old is suffering from fever approx. 103 (starts in afternoon, peaks at night - controlled with Meftal Spas) and abdominal pain from past 7 days. Did blood test. Day 2, 3, 4 results are Platelet count: 292000, 173000, 160000; SGOT: 37, 61, 60; SGPT: 15, 35, 38, Dengue-IgM: - , Negative, Equivocal; Blood Culture Test - negative (no organisms). Doctor confused between Dengue & Tyhphoid. Widal Test results will be available tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Hai....I understand its fever of 4 days. Only one question....how is he when there is no fever. Please stop meftal... If he is very active & normal when not febrile....leave Alone cough.... Don't worry. The platelet count & sgot sgpt tests you mentioned do not suggest anything serious....they look more like viral. Happy to help anytime. If you are happy with my reply....kindly rate it.
