What Treatment Can Be Given To Cure The Itchy Bumps On The Inner Thigh And Labia?

Hi. Im 17. still a virgin but i have these bumps that looks like pimples on my inner thigh and some skin peeling off my labia majora. they itch a lot especially at night. and if i scratch they burn and hurt. what is that? is it an infection? what can i do about this? treatments? im too shy to tell my parents. thanks :)

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

I would keep a possibility of scabies. Scabies can involve genital areas, thighs , abdomen, trunk, arms, axilla etc.

Itching is classically more severe at night.

I advice my patients of scabies a single, whole body application(sparing face) of 5% permethrin cream/lotion for 8 hrs (overnight), which is curative in most cases.

An oral antihistamine like cetrizine would help with the itching associated with it.

It is important to wash all the clothes, bed-sheets, pillow covers, towels and handkerchiefs etc.

It is normally advisable to treat empirically all the family members also simultaneously.
