It's two hours since your post and I hope you are feeling better right now. Lexapro
is not meant for immediate relief. It works well over a period of time when you take it daily. You can ask your doctor to prescribe a sedative for use when anxiety
gets unmanageable. Clonazepam
is a good example of a sedative. It works well with acute attacks of anxiety. Avoid changing the Lexapro dose on your own.
If you are hyperventilating, try to regularize your breathing. Also try breathing in and out in a paper bag for a few times. Hope this helps.
