What To Do When Potato Wedge Goes Down Larynx?

HI,
i bit the end of a potato wedge off and almost breathed it in and it went down the wrong hole. I coughed and spluttered but it did not come back up. This was 2 days ago and I feel like I have something stuck in my throat and it is a little uncomfortable. Has my airway just been scratched or similar or will the potato still be wedged in there?
It does not stop me from eating normally or breathing

What should I do?

Thanks

hello, thanks for your query, any foreign body (potato) reaching wind pipe will eject forcefully by cough reflex. if it is persistent it can cause infection or if its large it can cause emphysema and collapse of that part of lung. u need to do xray chest(pa) view to confirm any infection.all the best.take care.
