What To Do If The Child Is Not Eating Food Properly?

My four year old daughter chews string and other things nonfood. I saw some stings in her stools and when I helpe wipe her a little blood ended up on the tissue. I was wondering a possibly cause for this. She currently sees an Occupational therapist for working on her motor skills but they said she has an oral sensory. So far we haven t tried to work towards the chewing problem and I will bring it up at her next sessionl

In my opinion she seems to be hypo sensitive in her oral area so she chews and eats the non food things. She will benefit with the oro motor desensitization program. Your occupational therapist will be able to help you with it.
