What To Do For Ulcer?

have had some stomach problems over past year with deodenum (sp?) ulcer. Stools have been fairly loose with some moucous and are quite dark. Should I see the Dr. again. Have had some slight pain but nothing as compared to being originally diagnosed last summer. THank you for your help.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

With a history of duodenal ulcers and dark stool , then it would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.

There are different causes for dark stool including iron supplements but it can also be caused by blood in the stool though usually a large amount.

Your doctor may suggest stool analysis and would be able to initiate appropriate treatment.

I hope this helps
