It may be due to degenerative spine disease (lumbar spondylosis) with compressive neuropathy as it is common in your age. MRI of spine shows degenerative disc disease with spinal stenosis. You want to non operative treatment. This is usually a slowly progressing condition and there is treatment available in form of back exercises, Diacerine, glucosamine sulfate ,neurotropics such as methylcobalamin and analgesics.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
