Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

The repetitive intrusive thoughts that your are homosexual and in reality your are not, which are dominating the mind and you are not able to control these thoughts are obsessive thoughts only. These thoughts cause significant distress in you and have started hampering your social and personal life. As these symptoms are persisting in your mind through out the day so I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist for help.

OCD is a type of anxiety disorder and the disorder is a little difficult to treat so early treatment result in better prognosis. SSRIs are drug of choice and are used in high doses. Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Fluvoxamine etc are commonly used. These medicines will help you in controlling these intrusive thoughts. Apart from that Behaviour therapy has excellent efficacy in OCD. Combination of BT and medicines results in best effects.

Visit a psychiatrist for confirmation of diagnosis and prescription of drugs.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Take Care
