What To Do For Allergy?
I am being treated for some type of allergic reaction since Monday with prednisone 5 mg 4 times a day. Sarted with itchy palms and soles of feet, now I itch all over. I am today having trouble swallowing my food, I called my Doctor and he said give it a few more days. It is really scary when you feel like something is stuck in your throat. Should I call another doctor?

In most persons prednisone is given as a single dose in the morning to correspond with your own body's release of steroids, with adults taking 40 mg maximally at one time.
The body releases steroids in the morning in everyone.
It is possible that if used in this way that you may have improvement but you should speak to your doctor to find out if this is an option for you.
There may be a particular reason that you may need to take it in this way.
