Hello! I read your question and understand your concern. I agree with your doctor about the description. I would say that it doesn t really matter if a minor or severe type of Epilepsy, in the fact that how is it going to last. The difference between the two types is the damage that these seizures cause to your brain. It is a lower damage in auras and minor seizures. The fact that these seizures have persisted since childhood is an argument in favor of an anatomical problem inside your brain. That is why it is difficult to treat or even cure. I would like to know if you have performed a brain MRI. A hypocampal sclerosis can cause similar seizures.
