What Tablet Should I Take For Headache During Pregnancy ?

Hi, I have recently become pregnant . I have recently been having headaches, and i don t know whether a pain reliever is possible to be used, and if so what kind. If possible could someone also give me information on pregnancy , and what i should do and don t do, diet i should follow, and what vitamins and minerals i should have with quantities. Your help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum
Please mention the duration of pregnancy, or ur last menses date.
First you need to visit an obstetrician for an examination (antinatal chk up) and do an ultrasound. Some blood tests, that she adviced.

If you dont have a medical history , then you dont need medications. Only iron + folic acid is to be taken.
And tetanus vaccine.

Diet during pregnancy should be about - one extra meal. Pleany of fruits, vegetables, milk and milk products, eggs, nuts, will be sufficient.

Small frequent meals to keep your belly full , but not too full. As there will be some upper abdomainal discomfort and acidity due to growing uterus.
There may also be nausa , vominting in morning for 1st 3 month, for which sometimes anti-emetic MAY be needed. So you can talk to your obstetrician abt it.

Taking a dry toast or somthing light in the morn when you get up, helps in the nausea.

In case of excess vominting, and other symptoms like leg- swelling, change in color/quantity of urine etc, you will have to talk to your doctor.

YOu may experience constipation, so have plenty of salad, fruits, yoghurt, and be active (unless you are adviced to take rest by your dr)

Incase of bleeding, medical attention is required. Spotting may happen somtimes , which is common.

Frequenty urination is seen , due to pressure of uterus. But please chk your blood sugar leves rregulary , as GESTATIONAL DIABETES is one common condition these days.

Be regular touch wid your dr and go for timely followups.

Episodes of headache are very common in pregnancy, if it is untolerable, it needs therapy. Best is no medicine . But in case of intense headache Paracetamol is a safe medicine in pregnancy ( to be taken sporadically ).
Adequate hydration will solve many headaches.
