Pediatrician 's  Response
Dear Nanda

If your child has these symptoms without fever, they can be attributed to allergic problem like rhinitis or even Asthma. Mind it, in children the classical adult type asthma symptoms like wheezing and breathlessness may not always be there.

The other possibility is recurrent viral infection. Anti- flu vaccine every year may help in that case. You should also ask your child to avoid exposure to cold and dust and food items like ice-cram,candy, chocolate, nuts and junks like Kukures, chips and noodles.

High protein diet, lots of vegetables and fruits can boost up the immunity. Also give her vitamin C regularly. Chavanprash given over a long time is equally helpful.
do not fall a prey to quacks or 'desi' medicines as they may give your child steroids which are harmful. However do consult a Pediatrician and ENT specialist in your town for proper diagnosis.
