Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
is 141/78 blood pressure bad? I am 49 and I was a marathon runner. I went to Iraq and got back in Dec 2009. I have tingling in all area of my body and have lost right periferial vision due to a stroke. I have chest pain and my BP is all over the place.
Hi welcome to HCM. Loss of peripheral vision in your case is due uncontrolled elevation of blood pressure leading to stroke. This can also contribute to peripheral tingling and numbness due to associated neuropathy.Tight control of the blood pressure is most needed to control such complications. The range of blood pressure that is needed is 110-130/60-90 mm Hg.Antihypertensives and Antiplatelets can be safely managing drugs.Consult your cardiologist for further queries. Thank you
