What Should Be Done To Avoid Premature Birth?
hi dr, im 24 and im 29 weeks pregnant , 3 weeks ago i had some cramps and my dr gave me a patch to put on my stomach and told me to rest which i did, but last week he said the the babies head is really down and ready to come out , he told me to rest but he didnt say anything about bed rest(thank god), in order not to go in premature labour . p.s ive had a very normal pregnancy so far and my dr said im fine but we should be cautious.
there are a few points that i dont really understand:
1- why has this happened 2 me ?
2-what should i do in order not to give birth before my due date which is 22nd of jan?
3-can me and my husband have intercourse?
4-can i drive ?
5- is my problem really serious?

Yes, if the doctor has said head is low, you might g fr premature delivery.. It is important to know the cervical length..
1.This happened due to onset of contractin prior to the expected timewhich forced head to go deep in to the pelvis..
2.Bed rest in left lateral position.. Avoid excerting.. Drink lots of water.. In case f mild pain consult your doc at the earliest..
3. It is better to avoid sex.
4.It better to avoid driving..
%. Yes, your baby is premature and delivery till atleast 34 weeks is not good.. take betnesol injection to promote fetal lung maturity..
