What Should I Do For Herniated Disks?

i have herniated disks in my back which cause me bad back pain and has for a few months ... I also have a herniated disk in neck pressing on my spinal cord I have gotten about 10 hours of sleep the past week and when I just woke up I couldn't move my hand the neck pain is non exsistent but my hands keep falling asleep and now my legs are starting to tingle it has gotten worse week bye week

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a spinal canal stenosis.

I would recommend performing a cervical spine MRI to exclude this possibility. In the case this diagnosis is confirmed, you should consult with a neurosurgeon and discuss about surgery as a possible treatment option.

Meanwhile, I would recommend holding a cervical collar, which would help relieve the pain. Painkillers (acetaminophen, ibuprofen) and muscle relaxants (flexeril) would also help.
