What Relieves The Cough And Cold Due To Throat Infection?

I have throat infection for last 6 days. I have taken Azithromycin and citrizine for four days and after that stop taking it. Still my problem persists. My problem is cough and cold. Today again I consulted the doctor. He given me three medicine, name Blukof syrup, Nimulid, and Ofloxacin. But I have visited the internet and saw that Nimulid and Ofloxacin is having severely bad effect and under scanner too. So what I need to do now.

Thank you

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection also known as Common Cold and it is Viral infection..
Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that can treat bacterial infection and is not needed in your case..
As far as Nimesulide is concerned it has side effects but are not evident in every individual who takes it..
I would suggest you to continue taking anti allergics like Levocetrizine, take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen in place of Nimesulide, take decongestant like Pseudoephadrine, mucolytics like Ambroxol, do warm saline, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can chew Vitamin C pellet as it helps in boosting immunity and relieving symptoms soon..
You should avoid chilled foods..
Drink plenty of warm water and other warm fluids..
You should take a soft diet..
Take appropriate rest..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
