What Precautions Should Be Taken For High Blood Pressure?

My husband got a noise bleed that would not stop, took him to quick care and his blood pressure was 225/139. He is on blood pressure medicane. They gave him another pill to take at night and finally got the bleeding stopped and sent us home and told us to call and make an appointment with our doctor. What do I need to watch for now.

Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Blood pressure should remain less than 140 /90 mmhg in Longterm, that is first priority.

Ask your doctor about 24 hrs blood pressure monitoring machine which will record blood pressure whole day and night and will give you proper idea about blood pressure fluctuations.

This much high blood pressure is dangerous in short and long term.

Once blood pressure has been adequately controlled with medications, take it regularly, start brisk walking daily for 1 hour, eat fresh fruits.

Do also your kidney profile, blood sugar levels as both can increase blood pressure.
Thank you.
