What Precautions Need To Be Taken To Avoid Pregnancy?

Hi, I am a 17 years old and my boyfriend s and I s relationship has been going really well, we are over a year now and from Monday to Wednesday, we had unprotected sex. Two days though the minute I got home I washed off with cold water. Does that kill the sperm? Also, when will I, if I an pregnant, begin to see signs I an pregnant? I have a dance class at school and previously this year, a senior passed out while dancing because she was pregnant and didn t know. I just want to take the best precaution if, I am by the chance pregnant. Thank you

Hello,
You have pretty good chances to conceive if the intercourse happened around your fertile days, i.e., about two weeks prior to the onset of your next period. If not, you are safe. It is true that weakness, fainting spells and gastric and mood disturbances can occur in very early pregnancy but they are not specific only to pregnancy. You need to wait for your next period and go for a pregnancy test 3-7 days later if you miss it. If positive, see a specialist for further help. If negative, go for a regular form of contraception. Hope this helps.
