They generally last for 3 days with small blood patches for another two days. In December I am going for a holiday with my husband on the same dates on which my periods fall..How can I delay them by one week..What are the pills that can be taken, how much and from how long... Hello Mrs. Shelly,
I go Through Your query.

For postponement of periods
1) Tab PRIMOLUT-N 5mg BD i.e. one tab n morning and one tab in evening
2) If nausea or vomiting occurs, along with tab primolut –n take Tab PERINORM bd i.e one in morning and one in evening.
3)when the requirement to postpone period is over stop the drug and period will follow within a week.
*it is safe
*it is presumed that postponement of period is required for few days only

Primolut-N is sometimes prescribed to help in inducing a period and sometimes to delay or postpone periods. If taking for delaying periods, it should be started atleast 5-7 days before your actual period dates. Withdrawal bleeding after taking Primolut-N usually occurs after 2-3 days of taking the last pill dose. If pregnancy is suspected, you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately) as the pill use can affect the baby. If pregnancy gets ruled out, your doctor/gynecologist would prescribe you the suitable pills for the postponement of periods.

Take care.

Give me Five star for rating if U like.

Hi,
Medicines can't be prescribed online. But easiest way to postpone menses is to take oral contraceptive pills as long as you wish to postpone menses. Hope you got the answer.
Wish you good health.
