What Medicine Should I Take For Dysentery?

Hello Doctor,

For the past 12 hrs i am facing decentry (might be food poison). I have inquired a doctor through phone he suggested me Norbid 400mg tablet. I have taken 1. It's been6 hours but still I feel I am not better. Please suggest me is this okay or I should go for any other tablet?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, passing the stool three to four time in day and that may not need any treatment, if this is the diarrhea due to infection then it may needs treatment like antibiotic, some time it may be mix type of infection and that case antibiotic with anti-protozoa can be used like Ofloxacine with Ornidazole twice in day for three days.
just single dose may not give any result and one has to complete the full course of medicine.
