What Medication Is Suggested For Palpitation ?

I had a hysteroscopy, d&c, polypectomy and rectocele repair 3 days ago....recovery not too remarkable other than terrible muscle pain in my neck shoulders and stomach which has eased off today....but now am having bad headache and my heart is racing and feels like it is going to jump out of my mouth. I really haven gone to solid food yet and have not had a bowel movement since the surgery. I have Advil but it doesnt seem to help I should also mention that I was totally wired the night I spent in the hospital?! I thought I would have the most relaxing sleep with morphine and a catheter .....My eyes might as well have been taped open and I was sweating like crazy but no one suggested anything to alleviate the symptons in the hospital what else can I take especailly for these palpitations?

Hi,

The symptoms you have experienced were due to morphine intake. Once you are cleared of morphine, you'll be back to normal again.

I suggest to discuss with your doctor to start and anxiolitic drug for palpitations.
You can also take chamomile tea or other calming herbal mixture.

In addition, you can discuss with your doctor to run some further tests to exclude heart problems:
- EKG
- cardiac echo
- stress test
- holter monitoring

Based on the test results, the most appropriate treatment will be prescribed.

All the best!
