Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* The colistine sulfate is mainly indicated for resistant strains of E.Coli ,
Pseudomonas & other strains ,
It is a decades old brand , but kept reserved due to known
nephrotoxicity of the drug .

* Unless after sufficient doses of other standard , safe molecules
targetting GI flora are not giving proper results , one should not
encourage its usage in this age group .

Hope this clears your query .
Regards .
