What Medication Can I Take To Stop The Smell From Colostomy ?
I have a colostomy due to crohn s , my question is what medication can I take by mouth to stop the smell when I have to empty it....I know that when I take the antibiotic Cipro and flaygl as long as I take it there is no bowel odor it is great , but of course I cant take that for ever....I am hoping there is something...(this really is affecting my quality of life)...Thanks for any help...Mary

I am sorry but there is no drug that u can take to reduce the smell. As the smell is becaus of processed bile and not bacteria even antibiotics will be of little help. U can reduce the smell only externally by using deos and air freshners
