What Makes Saliva Taste Bitter?

iam 20 yrs old female, 5 feet height having appro. 52 kgs weight. Now the problem with me is that from last couple of weeks iam suffering from secretion of saliva particularly during lunch and dinner which is bitter in taste. Some times when it secretion, causes swelling on left side of my throat. please help me iam very much worried about it.

Hello thanx for queiry.swelling is caused by salivary calculi or stone in the salivary duct r gland, so u may need ultrasound examination and sialography as investigation.. U could use lemon peppermints to increase salivation and may need minor surgery if size of stone is Large..if small size u may not need surgery..if necessary u may need antibiotics and analgesics..kindly consult a oral surgeon for a check up snd treatment...hope it helps...take care.
