I have been diagnosed with Hoshimoto s disease, Cealiac, and polycycstic ovarian syndrom. I have been eating a Paelo diet and trying to work out daily. I have found bright red blood in my stool off and on for the last 3 weeks. Should I be concerned?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of about Hashimoto's disease, Celiac and PCOS that is polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. You are taking a proper diet and do exercises daily. Found red and bright blood on stool for 3 weeks and wants to know whether to be concerned:
Yes, certainly you should be concerned and need the following:
Certainly Hashimoto's and PCOS can not cause blood in the stool, Celiac can cause.
Other causes can be proctitis, anal fissure, piles and so on.
Hence needed is a ano-proctoscopy, colonoscopy and tests of stool, blood and urine to see the cause and get a plan for further treatment.
