What Kind Of Pain Causes Continuous Crying?

Doctor, my two months old (in mid of 3rd month now) niece starts crying almost every evening arond 6.30 pm and it lasts up to 10.30 to 11pm at times. She cries as if she is undergoing terrific pain. What to do? Please advice. Our doc suggested to give Colic-aid that time. Is there anything else we can do to relieve her pain? She is otherwise normal, gaining weight gradually.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, welcome to HCM.
I see similar cases in my clinic everyday. The baby has colicky pain abdomen that's why he is crying in evening.
90 percent of colicky pain subsides if the baby is put on his tummy in mother lap for 2 minutes. If pain persists then colicaid drops 3 drops SOS should be given. Stop other things like gripe water, ghutti. Baby who are on exclusive breastfeeding experience less pain abdomen.
I hope this has helped you. Take care.
