What Is Your Opinion About Baby Having A Cluster Of Lumps Under Skin Between Ear And Collarbone?
Hello.... my 8-1/2 month old baby has ...what seems to be a small cluster (2 or 3) of lumps under the skin on his neck between his ear and collarbone. 1 of these is approximately 1/2 inch in diameter and the others are smaller... he had a low grade fever a few days ago and has a very slight cough. We took him to dr and she felt them and said it was most likely a swollen gland... im trying to not doubt her but I feel like theyre slightly bigger now and not as soft as they were when we first found them 4 to 5 days ago.... should we worry or get a second opinion. ... thanks im freaking out
Hi...Please do not freak out. You need not worry. What your pediatrician asid is 10% right. It is called lymphadenopathy. You need to worry only if they are rapidly increasing in size and along with it there is anemia or excessive tiredness. As out now be rest assured. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
