What is this dark brown spotting ? Is vaginal discharge normal

Does very very little dark brown spotting count as a period? I usually get this for a day or two during my placebo pill week. I am aware that birth control can cause light period, but I have not had a normal flow since December. Also, is daily vaginal discharge normal? Thanks.

Welcome to on pills periods can range from very light to spotting to not at all, since they inhibit ovulation.Slight vaginal discharge is normal as it is only lubricating the vagina.Anything which is smelly, itchy, coloured thick white, yellow, green is a sign of alarm.
