hello doctor ,i m 11 weeks pregnant now.i started having folic acid and progestrone.actually what is the use of progestrone?wen is the convienient time for having these tabs?i usually have it before goin to bed.is thr any defect in having tat time?

The use of progesterone being a hormone is very widespread like from primary amenorrhoea;dysfunctional uterine bleeding ;postponement of menses;uterine hypoplasia.In your case it is used to prepare the uterus and protect the pregnancy so you should take as the doctor advised.Both tablets are necessary and should be taken and the time is not important but the convenient time is as advised and you should take the doses at the same time at least progesterone.
