clarithromycin what does it treat? I started taking this for a chest infection, I went to see the GP last night with symptoms of tonsilitis and bleeding and burning on urination. He said it would treat all symptoms, but he did seem 100% sure Im 32, weigh about 9 and 1/2 stone 5 foot 4
Clarithromycin (6-O-methyl erythromycin) is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections, particularly respiratory infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, skin infections and lyme disease. In addition, it is used to treat Helicobacter pylori, a cause of gastritis.Clarithromycin can be used to effectively treat idiopathic hypersomnia.
