What Is The Use Endogest 100 Mg During Pregnancy?

my blood group is A negative and my gyne prescribed me to take endogest 100 mg in my second pregnancy because my first daughter's blood group is AB positive. Why she prescribe me this medicine and is it I have to face any problem in my second pregnancy ?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion if the blood group of mother is negative and first baby blood group is positive then anti D injection is given within 72 hours after delivery to prevent the complications in next pregnancy.May be any there might be suspicion of miscarriage due to which she prescribed endogest.If Anti D injection was given you need not worry.Relax.Even in this pregnancy indirect coombs test is done at 24 weeks to know the effect of difference in blood group.
