What Is The Treatment To Reduce The Glucose And Cholesterol Level?

During the past year I've had my A1C checked and it was at 6.1%, then 6.5%. I was concerned so I got a multiphasic blood screening. I fasted for 12 hours and my glucose levels were at 133 and my A1C result was 6.8%. Have I gone from pre-diabetes to diabetes with these results? Also, last year my cholesterol was over 400 and triglycerides were 711! After being on 40 mg of pravastatin, my total cholesterol is now 243 and triglycerides are 368 - still too high. Is there anything else I can do about my cholesterol levels? What would be the best approach to reducing my glucose levels without medicine and do I need to go on a diabetic diet?

hello,I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.
you have to just manage your sugar with diet control and exercise only.Irrespective of your status of prediabetes and multiphasic blood sugar you don't need any medicine for it,as are readings are borderline.
your cholesterol and triglycerides are indeed very high. You must take Rosuvastatin and choline fibrate to control both. The dose needs to be adjusted by your treating doctor as per follow up reading.
My best wishes
