What Is The Treatment For White Patches On The Face?
I got slight white patches on my face.. cheeks part..since few time.. I m prone to cold and cough too since a long tym. Though took a treatment for it and its good now. As u just stated somewhere cold and cough would be the reason. My white blood cell counts are around 9000. I just consulted a doctor for d patch thing.. he recommended me Vitamin A Chewable tablets once and AF 400 once in a start and Momi Soft cream to be applied on the effected area. He told me to do it for a month. So is it alright to go for it without perfoming any test for the said problem. Reply Awaited. Thanks !
hi and welcome to HCM From your history and description, you may have Pityriasis alba usually seen with allergies, also often in kids. it may also be a fungal infection. Other causes maybe sun allergy, etc In any case, your doctor has covered treatment for these conditions. Do take the Af 400mg, Vit A and apply the cream lightly. It should regain the normal colour in a few weeks. In case of fungal infection, it may take a little longer. Continue this treatment for 15-20 days and check. Dont apply the cream for longer periods without consulting the doctor. tests are not necessary at the moment. But if you see no improvement, or see new patches appearing, esp on other parts of the body, you can get it tested for presence of fungal infection. Other causes also can be ruled out later. Hope this helps.
