What Is The Treatment For Urinary Track Infection?

i'm having uti's starting 6 wks ago had 2 cath specimens, been senitive to entercoccal facalis sensitive to nitrofuradantoin and have been treated with this drug for 1 wk. repeat urine culture 1 wk after stopping medication. renal and bladder ultrasound normal. what would be the next step? being treated by urologist but everyone is scratching their heads. i have had chronic constipation but this is my 1st uti. i am 67yrs. please answer asap.

there is still infection , it has not gone fully and you need to continue
same sensitive molecule for further 2-3 weeks for complete eradication .
