What Is The Treatment For Stress And Acne?

hi, im 29 yr.old..single. i have bf but no sexual contact. i wuld juzt azk my doctor diagnosed that i have a polycysistic ovary ( POS ) last year. before i have regular menstruation but because of stress sometimes my period comes twice a week in a month.. meaning it came on the first week then followed on last week of the month and also experienced heavy flow..i also have acne on my face..my ob advice me to take althea pills for 6 mo. to regulate my menstruation and to have a clear skin.i took it in 3 mo.no serious side effects at all,,except my acne is not really fade off,,but on the fourth month of taking this pill i have a sleepless nights..so i decided to stopped taking it.. after stop taking the pill my menstruation is getting ok..but my acne is still there on & off,,so i decided to consult other obgy-ne yesterday and she prescribed me to take yasmine..i have heard alot of side effects on the said pill and i found that it is quiet really expensive. Can I continue using the althea pills??becoz it is more cheap and i found it has lesser side effects.honestly, i am really afraid of taking medicine because of its side effect..thank you!

Thanks for putting up your query on health care magic.I can understand how acne can be v upsetting.Since you have PCOS I would recommend you to get your blood insulin levels checked as it may be culprit. If irregular, treatment of same would resolve your issues.Hope I could answer your query.
