Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? Any history of asthma or allergy in past or exposure to TB? Are u running fever? Any other lymph node swelling in ur neck?
as far as laryngitis and strep. are concerned, the definitive treatment is antibiotics. it take atleast 72 to 96 hr for antibiotics to get its effect. have u visited the ENT surgeon regarding it.? have u undergo indirect laryngoscopy? have u done your blood culture?
In my opinion you should stick to your medicine , as antibiotics are the definitive management for it, but these antibiotics should be according to the strain of bacteria too.
your ENT surgeon will decide about it.
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain. use saline gargles along with hot fluids.

Get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
