What Is The Treatment For Spinal Muscular Atrophy For A Kid?

Sir iam Aruna.my son Tej had seven years old.he had spinal muscular atrophy.Mentally he is very good.But he can't able to stand&walk. He is in 2nd standard in regular school.nuerolgyst said they don't have any treatment for Sma.plese help me sir may I have any solution for sons better to walk.

I am so sorry to hear about this spinal muscular atrophy that your son has.

I know this is difficult for you, but there is no magic pill or procedure that can get this condition completely addressed. The main management strategy is to help support hi with functions that are difficult. It really needs a coordinated tea composed of neurologist, orthopedic surgeons, social workers, etc to help provide great palliative care to help faclitate his daily living.

I know how demanding this is. I can only wish you well in every aspect.
