What Is The Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Testicles?

I got a very sharp, very quick pain immediately to the rear of my testicles when I stood up a minute ago. I sat down immediately and the pain ebbed away. This is not the first time it has happened to me. Also (I don't know if they are related) I have had troubles with ED for past two days. Should I get checked?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Certainly you should get checked by an Urologist by an actual Physical examination to see the limit of rotation / twisting of the testicle.
Your history is suggestive of an intermittent torsion of the testis as this is the only cause which can cause such a severe pain in the testicle.

Further confirmation by the ultrasonography and color doppler on routine and on possible manual torsion done purposefully can get the proper diagnosis.

A simple stitch to fix the testis inside the covering will not allow the torsion and you will not have pain again.

In during the course of an investigations one gets any other problem, get treated accordingly.
