Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Treatment of Acne is guided by the severity of acne. Topical treatment alone suffices for mild acne. Topical antiacne treatment mainly revolves around 3 categories of drugs: Topical antibacterials like topical clindamycin gel, topical nadaifloxacin; Topical benzoyl peroxide and Topical retinoids. Topical antibacterials are antiinflammatory; topical benzoyl peroxide is keratolytic in addition. Topical retinoids are comedolytic and antiinflammatory; therefore they also prevent new acne apart from resolving existing ones. In addition to topical treatment Oral antibiotics and Oral Retinoids are options for patients with moderately severe to sever grade of inflammatory acne. I suggest you to visit a dermatologist in your region for an assessment of the severity and appropriate treatment. You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your treating dermatologist.
