What Is The Treatment For Pain In Temple Region?

I have been having sharp pains in my left temple and like something is crawling on in my temple region. I used to get them maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I would tell my doctor and he would say don't worry about it. If it becomes serious or an issue than call him. Within the last 3 weeks. I've been having this sensation several times a week. I don't have insurance I just moved to another state and the DR's. wants to charge $130 just for me to see them and I'm unemployed as of the moment.

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post indicate that you might be having Trigeminal neuralgia.
It occurs due to any pathology in the nerve fibre, as a result of which pain gets transmitted along the course of the nerve.
Management will involve analgesics+Gabapentin preparations.

In your post, you have not mentioned about history of Hypertension, Diabetes, Thyroid abnormality, etc.
Under such circumstances, investigations like complete blood count, estimation of blood pressure & blood sugar levels and Thyroid profile will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.
A CT scan or MRI of brain will also be helpful.

Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, avoid stress, exercise regularly & practice meditation.

Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
