ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi , in my opinion, otitis media causing facial numbness means there is facial nerve being affected.
For yhis first thing is to treat otitis media with antibiotics.
Control infection. Then give neuralgic drugs to reduce facial pain and numbness.
If I were your treating doctor I wohkd have asked for ear swab for C/s.treat with suitable antibiotics , decongestant drugs.
Carbamazepine + tramadol+ steroid are given for facial neuralgia with numbness.
I find this answer helpful
