What Is The Treatment For Mouth Ulcer?

My thought has red patches on the top of the roof of my mouth and I have ulcers on my tounge. Also the side of my throat is really red and it looks like I'm missing a layer of the tounge on the top. It hurts Horribly when I swallow ever drinks and food. It's been like this for 3 weeks. Why?
