ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
There could be a resistant infection for which you need to take antibiotics for a longer duration . To diagnoses it you should consult as ENT specialist and get done endoscopy with a flexible endoscope to see upto the level of vocal cords. If there is any swelling it will be visible .
Secondly if there is any swelling in the neck ,it will be examined by your ent specialist and then further management can be planned .Like a fine needle aspiration from the swelling can be done to get done tissue diagnosis. Then proper treatment can be given.
In doubt do reply.
