What Is The Treatment For Loose Motion In A Child?

my 2 year old has been having runny runny diapers, like liquid, nothing solid and doesnt want to eat or drink much. i just changed his diper again and some of it was likea clear/very light red mucus, some was green little tiny chunks and some of it was red and stringy kinda like a worm or something. hes running 100.3 fever, should i take him to the er?

Hi...What your kid is having is a dysentery or bacterial infection of the gut. The clear/very light red mucus you have noticed could be blood streaks in his motion. He needs antibiotic therapy and zinc supplements and oral rehydration solution.
I suggest you take him to the pediatrician or the nearest emergency room.
