What Is The Treatment For Knee Stiffness And Lower Leg Pain?

In the last 2 weeks I have experienced knee stiffness and lower left leg mild pain. If I stand and slightly rotate my left leg (keeping my feet still) I can feel a deep inner pain in the lower leg. More like a bone pain than a muscle sore pain. Any ideas what might cause this? Or what it is?

Hello,

I have studied your case with diligence.
As per your history there is possibility of monoarticular arthritis. Which can be age related osteoarthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis may involve small joints and early morning stiffness in joints, do you have such complain?
Osteoarthritis usually involves knee and hip.

Hormone imbalance like hypothyroidism also leads to similar complain. So check your thyroid profile.

I will advise some important blood investigation like, RA factor, CRP, ESR, CBC.
Physiotherapy with USG and TENS and all joint range of motion exercises and stretches.

Some exercises which will help you
In lying flat supine on back – move your ankle up and down[plantar flexion dorsiflexion],keeping small towel below knee-press your patella[knee cap ] on towel and hold for 15 sec, lift your leg straight alternately [10-15 times].
Lying on your tummy- flex knee alternately, make knee rotation in flexion.
Sitting on chair- extend your legs alternately [hold in extension for 15 sec]
Standing half squat taking support of wall to back.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
