OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
As per your symptoms and the treatment prescribed by your doctor, it appears that you have polycystic ovarian disease, a state of abnormal hormonal balance where ovulation is either irregular or absent leading to irregular periods, obesity, hirsutism and infertility at later stages. This condition responds very well to treatment, more so when the treatment is initiated early enough. It is good to take the medication prescribed. In addition, you should also test for insulin resistance and take Metformin, if needed, as it shows very good results in inducing spontaneous ovulation. Maintenance of a healthy weight, regular exercise and good diet helps a lot in spontaneous recovery. Hope this helps.
