What Is The Treatment For Inferior Alveolar Neuralgia And High Blood Pressure?
Dear Doctor, my dad is 55 years old and is suffering from right inferior alveolar neuralgia and high blood pressure which generally ranges from about 130 to 150 (systolic) and 85 to 110 (diastolic). Around six months back he started with radiotherapy for neuralgia. now his taste sensations are gone along with the pain. but now he has suddenly become very weak and lost weight. For hypertension he takes enalpril and hydrochlorthiazide. kindly help
Hello, From what I understand your father's blood pressure seems to be fluctuating. Since there are times when his blood pressure is fine then other factors need to be considered that might be causing these changes such as changes in diet (especially salt content), body weight changes, effect of other drugs he might be taking. Consider regular monitoring of his blood pressure either manually or by ambulatory BP monitor then go to the doctor to review.
