Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You are having subclinical hypothyroidism - a condition in which there is slight reduction in your thyroid gland function. Here your thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) will be normal, but thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is slightly elevated.

Not all subclinical hypothyroidism needs to be teated. The indications for treatment are:

1. Increased anti thyroid antibodies
2. Presence of elevated cholesterol
3. Presence of thyroid swelling (goiter)

If you are having any of these, you should be started on thyroid hormone replacements.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
